Nathan arrived in New Zealand from India nearly two decades ago, in his early 20s, with a strong work ethic, big ambitions and a determination to build a successful life in his new home.
Over the years, he has built a career around helping New Zealanders achieve their property and financial goals. What began as a one-person mortgage advisory business in 2015, grew into NZ Mortgages, a team of more than 20 people helping clients across the country. In 2024, that journey entered an exciting new chapter when NZ Mortgages joined forces with Squirrel and became part of the Squirrel family.
Nathan has established himself as one of New Zealand’s leading mortgage advisers. In 2022, he was recognised as the number one mortgage adviser in Australasia and became the youngest mortgage adviser to settle more than $1 billion in lending, milestones that reflect not only the scale of his work, but the trust clients have placed in him over many years.
Having worked closely with thousands of individuals, families, business owners and property investors, Nathan understands that good financial advice goes well beyond numbers. It is about understanding people, what they have worked hard to build, what matters most to them, and helping them protect it.
As a property investor and business owner himself, Nathan brings first-hand experience of property ownership, building, investing and running businesses. As a husband and father of two young children, he also understands the importance of protecting a family's financial future and having the right support around you when life doesn't go according to plan.
Nathan has always believed in challenging the traditional way of doing things and creating a better experience for clients. He believes insurance should be no different, it should be built around clear advice, genuine care, personal relationships and having someone you trust in your corner when you need them most.
Nathan's whole journey has been about providing dedicated service, genuinely caring for people, and building lifelong relationships. After spending more than a decade in mortgages, those same values became the foundation for starting our own insurance business in 2023, giving our clients the same level of care and support in protecting what they have worked so hard to build.
